Hunsaker Dental Dr Travis Weimer

Travis Weimer, DDS

Dr. Travis Weimer moved from Arizona to La Grande, Oregon with his family when he was 14 years old. He married his sweetheart, Lori, and together they traveled to Utah to complete their undergraduate degrees. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor in Exercise Science, Dr. Weimer moved across the country to Richmond, Virginia to attend dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon graduation in 2017, Dr. Weimer, an avid learner, wanted to increase his understanding and skills so he applied to and was accepted into one of the nation’s leading post doctorate programs. He moved his family to Birmingham, Alabama where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the Veteran’s Hospital. He received training in Implantology, various Periodontal therapies, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. Dr. Weimer loved working daily with the veterans who have served our country and will miss them greatly. After completion of his residency program, he felt the pull to return to his home in the Great Northwest and is excited to have found employment with Hunsaker Dental. After being out of the state for nine years, Dr. Weimer is excited to return to his home state to enjoy being around his family, friends and the great outdoors.  He brings with him, his wife Lori, and four young children. Dr. Weimer enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. He also enjoys snowboarding, golfing and regular exercise.

Dr. Weimer has spent a lot of time in the chair as a patient and as a result, he understands the importance of making each patient feel comfortable and happy with the care that they receive. He has been involved with numerous Missions of Mercy volunteer projects, enjoys serving in his church and looks forward to serving the community in Salem. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentists.
